New Mid-Michigan Heallth Facility Presented to Rotary
June 19, 2018

Cheryl Yesney
Cheryl Yesney,
Director of Administration for Mid-Michigan Health spoke to Rotary about Mid-Michigan's new facility being built on the corner of Keisel Road and 2 Mile, next to John Glen High School.
The new facility will provide patients in the Bay area with more options for health care.
Yesney was proud of the personal approach that MidMichigan takes with patients. They took the time to talk to patients about their healthcare and to address concerns.
A dedicated phone team insures that patients talk to a person when they call.
Appointments can be made on-line, on the phone or by stopping in.
The reception areas are designed to be comfortable and home like rather than the typical medical waiting room.
Greeters are trained to welcome patients and help them get started.
Exam rooms are comfortable and feature (heated) exam chairs rather than tables.
MidMichigan is striving to take full advantage of the electronic records world. Patients can use the MyChart patient portal to view test results, medications, and communicate with their healthcare team.
Several doctors have been hired for the new facility and others will soon join the team.
An emphasis will be placed on sports medicine, physical therapy and orthopedic surgery.
As part of the University of Michigan Health System, UofM specialists will provide pediatric orthopedics and orthopedic oncology services.
Showing the floorplan of new facility, Yesney noted that the 19,000 sq ft facility will provide the convenience of multiple services under one roof.
The facility will be holding an open house September 26 from 5-7 pm.
