When the Stables' and Lumber Barons' General Manager says "The 10 weeks of Michigan Idol was a great event . . ."

Well . . . You can be pretty sure that it was a success.

"What an awesome turnout! said Stables' Malisa Narvais. (General Manager - Lumber Barons/Stables) - "It was a ton of fun and I'm glad to see Michigan Idol back where it all started from," Narvais continued. I'm already looking forward to Round Two in the Spring," Narvais added.

The standing room only crowds for ten weeks on Wednesday night was certainly a solid testament to the success of the almost ten year old singing competition.

But wait . . . There's more.

The judges for Michigan Idol were happy too.

"The talent, that we have locally, is amazing! Each week brought something different from the contestants," said Judge Deb St. Hilaire (The Divalution). "They (contestants) worked hard, listened to the judges' critique and developed their own style," St. Hilaire went on. "I loved every minute of the competition and I'm grateful that these dedicated artists chose to share their talent with us."

But . . . Nobody was happier than the Michigan Idol competition winner, Jessie Jordan.

"Winning Michigan idol was a great opportunity for me to meet new people and grow as an artist," Jordan said. "I learned a lot from the judges." Jordan went on to say that she is going to continue in her journey and her goal is to become a country artist. "I'm hoping that I can change/touch people with my music," Jordan added.

Jordan said that "Competing in this contest, has really opened my eyes to not only new people and their styles but new genre of music as well. I love all kinds of music so it's awesome to hear others interpret different songs in their own way."

"It was so much fun at the Stables and it's such a great opportunity for anyone who loves to sing to get out there and try new things," Jordan went on."

Jordan says she was never really that competitive but this contest really helped her to "dig deep" and actually compete and fight for what she wanted. "Not only was the competition a lot of fun for me, but I think it really helped me grow as an artist," Jordan said.
