Tickets are available for Thursday's (March 23) Arnold J. Copeland Trout Unlimited (TU) Annual Banquet and Fundraiser.
This years' banquet will be held at the Lumber Baron's Charcoal Grill & Brewery on Midland Street on Bay City' West Side.
Copeland Chapter President, Frank Janca, says he expects a big turnout for the 2006 edition of this annual event.
"We've got live auctions, silent auctions, bucket raffles, boats and fishing rods to give away at the banquet," Janca said in a telephone interview earlier this week.
Ticket prices are $40 per person and can be purchased from Janca (892-2828), George Shaw (893-7296), Mark DeSanto (892-7074), Doug Koss (671-9440), Starland Smith (894-7827) or Al Doner (671-3500) before the banquet. Or tickets can be purchased at the door on Thursday night.
"Everyone is welcome," said TU Board member, George Shaw. "Come out and enjoy a night of fun, fish stories and camaraderie with fellow fishermen," Shaw went on. "And there are lots of great prizes to be won," Shaw added.
All proceeds will benefit the conservation of our cold water fisheries and resources, Michigan children's' fishing programs and Michigan fishing resource centers.
Doors open at5:30 pm with hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar and prize displays. Dinner is at 7:00 pm and the festivities will continue during and after the dinner session.
