Tom Doran, of Fabiano Bros., describes the different characteristics of Shiraz wines to wine tasters, as well as some interesting wine tasting tips.

If you missed the wine tasting party at Tommy Vs this past Wednesday, you can set your sights on next month, Wednesday, May 10th, when Tommy V's will have the next monthly wine tasting party.
Marketing Representative, Tom Doran of Fabiano Brothers Inc. hosted the wine party. Doran says, "This month's feature Shiraz, is very popular right now and growing to be the #1 imported wine coming into the United States."
Fred and Marilyn Hamilton, who lived on the West Side of Bay City all their life, enjoyed the wine party, stayed for dinner and said they will be back for next month's party. Mr. Hamilton says, "We try to support everything that is local!" Marilyn adds, It's exciting to see the development of Bay City throughout the years."

(Below Left) Some of the best palate cleansers are cheeses and olives, which were just a few of the Hors d'oeuvresserved, along with meats, melons, strawberries and artichoke dip and garlic bread. (Below Right) Melissa Wood and Elena Brunett stopped in after work. Wood is a former bar owner of "Cocktails on the Rocks" in Sault St. Marie. Wood said, "This is a great idea, I'm glad my friend Elena suggested meeting here after work." Brunett adds, "It's a good way to relax after a hard day's work."
(Left) According to, Tom Verhalen, Owner of Tommy V's, next month's feature, will be white wines, "lighter style wines for spring time".
$10.00 includes, 5 glasses of wine and hors d'oeuvres from 5-8 pm.You don't have to be a wine connoisseur, come and enjoy wine and appetizers and stay for dinner afterwards.
Next month's Wine Tasting Night will be Wednesday, May 10th. (Second Wednesday of every month.)
