Jeff Daniels + Saturday + Bay City = Standing Room Only Big Crowd on Hand to Enjoy Daniels' Music & Comedic Performance June 11, 2006 By O. J. Cunningham There were 566 tickets for sale to see Jeff Daniels in Bay City. At 7:00 PM, there were none to be had. Sold Out -- That's the sign on the doors at the State Theater that greeted "walk-ins" that hoped to grab a seat at the last minute. And if you didn't have a ticket, you missed a great musical and stand-up comedy performance by one of Michigan's own . . . Jeff Daniels. Daniels provided two hours of enjoyable guitar music and anecdotal stories that kept the full-house crowd clapping and begging for more. Daniels' song fest included (among many others) If William Shatner Can, I can Too, Dirty Harry Blues, Blue Valiant and the always enjoyable Recreation Vehicle. Dow Chemical Company, S.C. Johnson and Dow Corning Corporation were the major local sponsors for the June 10 performance. For more information on upcoming events at the State Theater later this summer . . .
