Readers Remember Coaches - Zappone & Engel

My recent post concerning my high school coach, Vince Zappone, seems to have struck a familiar chord with readers of MyBayCity.
I got this e-mail yesterday:
"I sure enjoyed your article on Coach Zappone.
My brother and I played for Coach Engel in the late 50s and to this day feel the positive influence he had on our lives.
We hope that our grandsons get to be around somebody like (Coaches) Zappone and Engel some day!"
Made me dig through an old scrapbook. Came up with the following picture. That's Coach Vince Zappone in the back. On the left is St. James' Athletic Director, Father Eugene Seidenwand. The players are St. James Pitcher, Roger Zacharko on the right and . . . well, I'm sure you recognize the towhead with the crew cut.
