Bay City Players will hold auditions for its upcoming production, the musical Cats,

By Andrew Lloyd Weber, on Saturday, December 30, 2006 at 1:00p.m. and Tuesday and Wednesday, January 2nd and 3rd, 2007 at 7:00 p.m.

Auditions will be held at Bay City Players, 1214 Columbus Avenue, in Bay City.
Performance dates are April 26-29 and May 3-6, 2007.
Gary Asel, is the Director and Don Clark, is the Music Director.

PLEASE, AUDITION ONLY ONCE
THE PLOT: Based on the universally popular poetry of T.S. Eliot, Cats has become a true musical theater phenomenon, Cats opened at London's New London Theater on May 11, 1981 and ran for a record-setting 21 years. Cats's London success was nearly matched on Broadway where it ran at the Wintergarden Theatre for just over 18 years. The audience will be introduced to many delightful cats (Jellicle cats, mischievous cats, old cats, theater, magic and railway cats) and Old Deuteronomy, their leader, at the Jellicle Ball
Auditions are open to the public and newcomers are welcome. Those auditioning will be asked to sing and will be asked to dance and read selections from the script.
