Art Dore, Doug Dore, John Buehl and Mike Sheets have a big "problem."
The Problem: The Michigan Idol competition at the Stables on Bay City's West Side has too much talent. And next Wednesday (June 27, 2007), the judges of the competition have to cut the singers to the
"FINAL 10."
"It's a great problem to have, from the fans' point of view," said Stables owner Art Dore. "The crowds are great. The talent is great. We're really happy with the event," Art Dore added.
"We have 20+ singers that are so very, very talented," said Stables Manager, John Buehl. "The judges next week will have their hands full," Buehl added. "We're going the extra mile to make everything as fair as possible for everyone."
Emcee and Host Doug Dore, (who does a fabulous job keeping the 3-hour show moving right along,) echoed Buehl's comments. "The talent here tonight and for that matter, every Wednesday, is absolutely amazing," said Doug Dore after Week #7 of the Michigan Idol competition at Stables. "It's going to be very difficult for the judges to determine the
Final 10."
Competition Musical Director and Chief Judge Mike Sheets was quick to agree. "The singing seems to improve every week," Sheets said.
Sheets added that there will be close to 20 performers who will sing on Wednesday, June 27. "Next week, the finalists will all perform on the same night," Sheets said. "It's gonna be a great show."
Top 10 Contestants for the Week of June 20, 2007 were:
Kalei Souza
John Dukarski
Steve Armstrong
Kate Gembrowski
Amy Shurlow
