Randy Rinker #41 and Terry Rinker #10 both agreed on one thing after Sunday afternoon's Champ Boat Races in Bay City. "It's rough, but thats typical for Bay City," said the Rinkers. "It's always a challenge."
Both Rinkers also agree that they like coming to Bay City, and always enjoy the concerts and other festivities going during River Roar weekend.
Mike Miller, a close friend of Terry and part of the Rinker Team, said, there were approximately 45 Rinker family members at this past weekend's race.
Miller said that Terry Rinker also raced motocross back in the early 80's, and according to Miller, Rinker was quite good at it. But Rinker decided to concentrate on boat racing.
Terry Rinker won his second straight series points championship in 2006. But got a bad break on Sunday when Wyatt Nelson crashed trying to pass Rinker with 10 laps to go. The crash knocked out Rinker's steering and dropped from 3rd to a final 8th place finish. Randy Rinker ended in 7th place.
