When Art Dore puts on a show, you can bet that you're going to get your money's worth.
"What we have going on at Stables every Wednesday, you can't get anywhere else in Mid-Michigan," Dore said.
Dore was referring to his Michigan Challenge (IDOL) competition going on at the Stables Cigar and Martini Bar behind Lumberbarons on Midland Street in Bay City.
"We've created a buzz," Dore said. "People are having a good time watching the competition and the talent is outstanding."
It was Rock & Roll Night last week and performers covered songs from Elvis, Janis Joplin, Pat Benatar, Poison and Nickelback.
Judge Ron Graham said the "competition is really heating up." Graham went on to say that he's totally impressed with the talent level.
Chief Judge Mike Sheets agreed. "It just keeps getting better and better and better," Sheets explained.
Wednesday July 18 is MOTOWN night at the Stables. Warm-up time for singers starts around 8:30pm with competition getting underway by 9:00pm.
