The heat didn't stop Pig Giggers from joining in on the fun and festivities at the 2007 Labadie Pig Gig (presented by State Farm) at Veteran's Memorial Park in Bay City, this past weekend.
Covenant Health Care and Meijer joined with Labadie & State Farm and other local sponsors making this another successful fundraising weekend for the the Boys and Girls Clubs of Bay County and other area charities.
It was entertainment and more entertainment, from Thursday through Sunday as the Pig Gig's schedule of events was jam packed, with activities and events from hour to hour. The Bay City Rollers, Dennis DeYoung - The Music of Styxx, Gin Blossoms and Mark Mills were all featured big-name artists.
Pig Gig organizer, Wendy Dore, was all smiles on Sunday night as the event came to an end. "So many people did so much for Pig Gig this year," Dore said. "I just want to thank them all."
Dore went on to thank all sponsors supporting the 2007 Labadie Pig Gig. Dore thanked: Dow Corning, Chemical Bank, The Bay City Times, Arnold Sales, Coors Light, Health Plus, Coca-Cola, Art Van, Belle Tire, Great Lakes Harley Davidson, Barefoot Wine, Sign Tec, Hamilton RV, Blue Care Network of Michigan, The AmericInn, 7-Eleven, Lowe's, and The Michigan Lottery and Speed Net.
"Special thanks to Batschke Garden Center for donating the beautiful decorations at the event entrance, VIP "Swine & Dine" tent and the Pig Racing Area," Dore added. "As always, it sure looks great!"
