Downtown Bay City has put together another one-of-kind event! Fall Downtown Divas during September 21, 22 & 23, 2007.

A special fall weekend for and about women, designed to bring out the inner Diva in all of us! This event provides the perfect getaway for a few hours, a day or the entire weekend. A variety of events are scheduled along with our favorite activity ? Shopping!

According to Candace Bales, Executive Director of the Bay City Downtown Management Board, while Bay City is a favorite shopping and dining destination, the Fall Downtown Divas Weekend provides an easy, exciting and fun opportunity for women to getaway, relax and enjoy spending time with one another.

Bales said, "It's also a great way for us to introduce women to the wonderful variety of businesses in our historic Downtown shopping district while also showcasing all that our special community has to offer."

Friday - Diva Delights. It's all about pampering. Activities designed to make a Diva feel good are being offered throughout Downtown. Enjoy special goodies all over town such as a free mini eye make-up lesson at Merle Norman and a massage at Migun Body Sense at a special Diva price.

Dressin' Up Downtown takes place in the evening at The Boathouse, 1111 N. Water Street. A unique fashion event that's all about dressin' up your "inner" Diva and dressin' up Downtown Bay City. The event takes place from 7 to 9:00 p.m. in the clubhouse at The Boathouse - a very cool place to view evening fashions and enjoy hors d'oeuvres provided by Downtown businesses.

Fashions provided by: Hoopla!, Sempliner's Bridal Salon, My Secret Garden and Uptown Girl.

Saturday - Fashion & French Toast happens bright and early, 9 to 11:00 a.m. A fun and funky fall fashion show highlighting our one-of-a-kind Downtown shops along with a wonderful "fuel for shopping" breakfast buffet all at the Atrium, 1100 N. Water Street. With special Diva Giveaways, shopping is next on the list.

Shops showing off at the morning event are: Career Uniform, Cherubs Children Shoppe, Herman Hiss, Hoopla!, My Secret Garden, Little House, MeadowCreek Clothiers, Sempliner's Bridal Salon, Three French Hens, Uptown Girl and Wind & Willows on the River.

The proceeds from both Diva fashion events will be used to beautify and "Dress Up" Downtown Bay City. Tickets for each event are $15 and are available at all the Downtown businesses participating in the event.

Note-Able Women, a musical event at the historic State Theatre, 8:00 p.m. A special Bijou Orchestra presentation filled with music by some of Tin Pan Alley and Broadway's greatest women songwriters whose names you may not recognize. But who hasn't heard "I'm in the Mood for Love" or "You Oughta Be In Pictures"? Special guest soloist is Kathy Wagner. Tickets available at http://www.bijouorchestra.org and (989)902-0126.

Sunday - Enjoy Downtown Diva Dining before and after the show with Diva specials available all over town. Don't miss the Diva Godiva Chocolate Martini offered at the Doubletree Hotel. With a second performance by the Bijou Orchestra of Note-able Women at the State Theatre at 2:00 p.m., what a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon!
