Bay City Central, and Garber are confidently thinking playoffs going into week seven while Bay City Western and Bangor John Glenn face must-win scenarios.
Bay City Central (5-2, 5-2) is facing the toughest test against Big North Conference leader Traverse City Central (5-2, 4-0) who racked up 568 total yards last week in their 40-7 win against Cadillac.
Although it's a non-conference game the Wolves may even be thinking about their share of the Saginaw Valley League lead with Midland High just one game better at 5-1.
The Wolves hope their homecoming game will provide the winning momentum going into their final conference show down with Bay City Western who earlier this season beat Traverse City Central 14-10.
The Warriors (4-3, 3-3) who need two wins to get into the playoffs should be one win closer to that goal next week after hosting (1-6, 0-6) Flint Northern out at the "Corn Field."
Essexville Garber (5-2, 4-2) needs one more win to qualify for the playoffs and will be hosting North Branch (3-4, 2-4) in a Tri-Valley East match up.
Bangor John Glenn (4-2, 3-2) who only plays eight games this season will probably need two wins to qualify for the big show in week ten but they are up against Saginaw Nouvel 4-2 who also plays only eight games and are also thinking two wins gets them into the after season dance.
Pinconning (1-6, 1-4) will be hosting non-league foe Mt. Morris while a banged up All Saints squad (2-5, 2-4) will be hosting non league opponent Brown City without three of their starters due to injuries.
