Pinconning has had a hard season, but their performance on the field Friday night showed just how good they can be.
The whole team, especially the seniors, stepped up and played their hardest.
The Spartans dominated the first half, taking a quick lead. Senior Ryan Kleinhans, from 1, 5, and 32 yards, scored three touchdowns.
A touchdown from the Bobcats, with four seconds left in the half, made the score 20-13.
The Spartans really picked it up and stayed strong the second half. The third quarter consisted of two touchdowns from Pinconning senior Nick Paulik and junior Nick Schultz.
To add to the score, junior Brandon Koth Kicked six PATs. Kleinhans added another touchdown to his three with a fourth quarter interception.
Throughout the game, senior Barrett Penix passed for 120 yards. Four times, Penix passed to senior Brandon Delgado for 74 yards.
On defense, sophomores Lucas Foco and Coty Swinson had a combined 8 tackles for loss, while Penix had an interception, keeping the Spartan's momentum up.
Since this was the last game they would ever play on their home field, the Spartan seniors put their all into this game, and it definitely showed.
Hopefully this big win will keep Pinconning's momentum going all the way to Unionville Sebewaing next Friday, where the Spartans play their last game of the season.
