After their recent loss against Millington, Garber came back this week with an amazing win against North Branch. The Dukes had an encouraging lead with a touchdown by Josh Pierson early in the first quarter, and a 23-yard field goal by Jade Dowdy later in the first half. At haltime hopes were high with the score 10-0.
North Branch scored a field goal of their own in the second half of the game, but they couldn't catch up to Garber with a second touchdown by Pierson. In the fourth quarter Randon Henika scored a 1-yard touchdown, and Dowdy was 3 for 3 on PATs, making the final score 24-3.
This win was big for Garber. For seven straight years they've been able to get into the playoffs, and now 6-2, they'll be there for sure.
