Looking for some wonderful holiday spirit along with family activities, unique gifts and one-of-a-kind places to dine?
Downtown Bay City invites you to share in the holiday season with our annual holiday tradition of "Sundays in the City" November 18, 2007-December 23, 2007.
Beginning Sunday, November 18th and each Sunday through December 23rd, this event includes so many ways to enjoy the sights, the sounds and the joy of the season The holiday season is a joyous time spent with family, friends and loved ones.
What better place to make new memories and traditions than in historic Downtown Bay City.!
Each Sunday in the City Free Horse Drawn Carriage Rides to help you experience the wonder of an old fashioned Downtown holiday season.
Pick up is noon until 3 p.m. in front of the State Theatre, 913 Washington Ave. For the first time ever there will also be free carriage rides after Santa's Arrival, Friday, November 23, from 7:30-9:00 p.m. with pick up in front of the Delta College Planetarium.
Strolling Musicians and Carolers enhance the Downtown holiday experience by performing through-out the streets from noon to 2 p.m.

The Essexville-Hampton Garber High School Choir (Nov 18)
The Bay City High School Band (Nov 25)
The Tri-City Chorus of the Sweet Adelines (Dec 2)
Essexville-Hampton 5th Graders Choir (Dec 9) The Bay County Girl Scouts (Dec 16)
Santa Buck: Watch for your Santa Buck insert on Thursday, November 15th, in The Bay City Times, Midland Daily News, and The Saginaw News. With the Santa Buck, holiday shoppers will receive $5 off regularly priced items each Sunday at all of the 34 businesses, starting November 18th until December 23rd. Total Santa Buck Value is $170.00!!!

Also Featured During Sundays in the City
7th Annual Festival of Wreaths Participating Downtown shops and restaurants will each decorate and display a holiday wreath in their individual establishments. Downtown visitors can enter to win at each participating businesses who will each draw a winner on December 17th - just in time for the holidays!

Sleigh of Gifts Giveaway!
The annual downtown tradition continues again this year! One very lucky individual will win the "Sleigh of Gifts" filled with gifts from each of the participating businesses valued at over $2,000!! The Sleigh of Gifts will be on display at Herter Music Center, 901 Washington Avenue.
Those wishing to enter can do so at any of the participating establishments. The winner will be drawn on December 20, just in time for all of the gifts to be placed under the tree.

Friday, November 23rd. Santa's arrival will also kick off the City of Lights Celebration. Kids, bring your flashlights and help guide Santa's Sleigh into Wenonah Park.
Performances by the local Boy Scout Troop 121, Miss Bay County representatives and for the first time, the 5th grade Hughes Elementary School Choir, all enhance this spectacular event!
Following his arrival, Santa & Mrs. Claus will head to the Delta College Planetarium to greet children until 9 p.m. Parents, don't forget your cameras.
Santa's treats are graciously provided by St. Laurent Brothers and beverages are provided by McDonald's Restaurant at 314 Washington Avenue.
This event is supported by the Bay Arts Council. For the first time this year free horse drawn carriage rides will also be available after Santa's Arrival. Pick up is at the Delta College Planetarium from 7:30-9:00 pm.
