Hello Tri City:
My name is Tim Nivison. I'm an accountant in Saginaw and have been in Public accounting for 22 years. My firm specializes in Small business Accounting and tax preparation for all types of entities.
I hope everyone has had a nice holiday. Now that the holiday season is over and it's tax season your should start thinking about getting your information together to prepare your tax returns for the 2007. A few things you should watch for and do to be ready.
Start watching the mail for W-2 wage statements, 1099 statements, 1098 mortgage Interest paid, social security statements.
Church contributions statements, Salvation Army and Goodwill slips, and any other charitable contributions you might have made in 2007.
If you trade stocks you should be gathering up all the cost information.
Property tax statements, personal property taxes, and any large purchase you might have had to pay sales tax.
Any non reimburse employee expenses. Such as license fees, mileage, uniforms, shoes, tools of the trade.
That's just some of the main things to prepare for when filing your 2007 income tax returns. Look forward to talking to you again, soon.
