Tim Socier (Timothy's Fine Tobacco) and Tony Jeske (Manager, Old City Hall) are Downtown Bay City neighbors.
And what do neighbors do during the summer? They have backyard parties.
And that's just what Socier and Jeske did last Wednesday night. They combined forces to have a "High End" Scotch, Cigar and Chateaubriand party down on Saginaw Street in Bay City.
"We had 14 participants," said Socier during the event. "That's as good as we expected for a first-time event."
"We are going to have the best cigars, the best wine, best scotch and the best steak," Jeske beamed. "What more can you ask for?"
Socier invited Jon Herman, a National Wine & Spirits distributor to the party and also offered some of his best tobacco for the tasting. Old City Hall stepped up with the finest of steaks (Chateaubriand) and side dishes.
For $95, participants savored before & after dinner cigars, 3 wine drinks and 6 scotch drinks along with Chateaubriand dinner at Old City Hall.
"We'd like to make it a monthly event," both Socier and Jeske chimed in. The neighborhood duo will advertise the event again in a few weeks. Look for info in MyBayCity's "First Word."
