EDITORS NOTE: Dennis Beson, President of the non-profit group Dstreet Entertainment Foundation asked MyBayCity for our assistance in getting this message out to the public -- We are happy to oblige.
This is Dennis Beson from The Sinclairs Band. I wanted to ask your help as long
time friends of The Sinclairs in a project that I am working on with the local
non-profit group Dstreet Entertainment Foundation. I am currently the President
of the Board of Dstreet Entertainment Foundation.
DStreet Entertainment Foundation
Dstreet Entertainment is the group that has brought you Parkapalooza the past 3
years with the 4th year coming up on Sept 7th. Dstreet also was the organizer of
last years Scholarship Concert in memory of Greg Bever.
Dstreet has come up with a program called "Band Wagon" which is an opportunity
for you to put your old musical instruments / equipment back into use through
donation.
On Sunday, June 15th at Dow Diamond's All Star Fan Fest (11 A.M to 8 P.M.) we
will have a vendor booth set up outside of Dow Diamond for the purpose of
bringing any musical instruments that you are no longer using in exchange for a
charitable donation receipt that you can use on your next income tax return.
We
are looking for any band instruments, guitars (electric or acoustic), drum kits
or drums sets, electric guitar amplifiers, etc. Instruments larger than hand
carry size should call our 800 number to make arrangements for transportation.
Dstreet Entertainment will refurbish the instruments and make them available for
children of families less fortunate or extremely challenged financially. These
instruments will be used in the three local counties, Bay, Midland, and Saginaw.
The instruments will be held in a sort of musical library to be checked out and
returned as the need/use exists for these families.
Please pass this email on to any friends, family or associates that you think
might be able to help with this benefit.
If you are unable to attend this event, please feel free to contact us (800)
398-2350 and we will make arrangements to pick the instruments up from you
directly if need be. This is an on going event all year round.
Please give the gift of music to someone that for financial reasons is unable to
be involved in music. Help all children make music.
