Rock By The Dock Kicked Off Labadie Pig Gig Week

The Youth Committee held their third annual fundraiser, "Rock by the Dock." The event was in conjunction with the 16th Annual Labadie Pig Gig. In past years the event took place in the afternoon on the Saturday during the Labadie Pig Gig.
The Youth Committee kicked off the Labadie Pig Gig on Wednesday, July 30, 2008 from 3:00 to 10:00 pm at Veteran's Park.
The fund raising concert will consisted of a performance from Beth Stalker, a top fifty contestant from this season's *American Idol*, Beth Stalker, along with local bands including;
Festivities continued in the refreshment tent from 7:00 to 9:00 which included the Youth Idol Contest with celebrity judges - Beth Stalker, Demas from WIOG and Eric Jhyla.
All proceeds benefited the Bay Area Community Foundation's Youth Initiative Endowment Fund to assist in enhancing Bay County's youth programs and projects.
The Bay Area Community Foundation's Youth Advisory Committee is a group of dynamic young people, who positively impact the youth of Bay County by identifying needs, making informed decisions, distributing funds and volunteering.
