The Labadie Pig Gig presented by State Farm is once again delighted to welcome The
Aussom Aussie team and their sensational barbecue style from Down Under.
Paul Mackay, the Aussom Aussie, originally from Australia, has gone international to tell the world how they Barbie (BBQ). With several distinguished awards and honors they are doing just that. They have been competing in North America for over 20 years and placing in the top 3 for the past 16 years.
"They say barbecue started in the south and you can't get much more south then Australia," stated Paul Mackay. Paul started competing with his father globally.
Their one of a kind technique has set them apart from many of the methods used in the United States and Canada, and combining that with experienced competitors has worked for this team. Now they are returning to our festival to us the Australian art of barbecue.
The Labadie Pig Gig presented by State Farm is an annual event that everyone can enjoy as you make a difference in your community and support your local charities.
Tickets will be $10.00 at the gate.
The Labadie Pig Gig presented by State Farm is held in Veterans Memorial Park, August 6-9, 2009 The event features a national rib competition, nightly musical concerts, the Coors Light tent, Covenant Health Care Hospitality tent, the Great Lakes Loons Family Stage, Pig Racing, the Catholic Federal 5K race, children's activities and a brand new Water-ski show! Dow Corning sponsors the charity area which benefits over 20 area charities!
