Randy Wackerle and Scott Carmona were both on hand to celebrate the ground-breaking ceremony for the new Dow Bay Area Family Y.
Wackerle and Carmona (Pictured at Right) are both long-time members and supporters on the existing Bay Area Y located on the corner of Madison and Columbus on Bay City's East side.
Both Wackerle and Carmona have spent long hours enjoying the paddleball courts at the "Y."
"It feels good to be a part of the ceremony," said Wackerle who says he's been a member at the local "Y" for forty-five straight years.
"I'm starting my second forty-five," Wackerle grinned.

It's nice to see people like Randy Wackerle being recognized for his long-time association with the YMCA through his long and storied paddleball career. If he is not already in the Bay County Sports Hall of Fame I expect he will be nominated/elected in due time.
