MyBayCity Publisher, O. J. Cunningham, sat in as Michigan Idol Judge for Mike Bacigalupo who was not able to attend.
Cunningham teamed with George Lynch of Charter Communications and musician Tommy Anderson to provide commentary and constructive criticism of the evening's performers.
"I had a good time," Cunningham said of his stint at judging. "It always
looks easy when you sit in the crowd and watch the judges make comments,"
Cunningham continued. "But when they point at you, turn on your
microphone and ask for an opinion," Cunningham said. "It's definitely
unsettling."
Cunningham said that working with Anderson and Lynch was a lot of fun. "We
had a ton of laughs," he said about sitting between the other two judges. "I
think the highlight of the night (for me)," Cunningham said, "was when the
fan behind me reached over and took the microphone away from me and started
praising one of the performers," he concluded.
"What a Hoot," Cunningham laughed. "I'd do it again in a minute."
