It's always a blast to go see why Ringo Starr calls Mark Farner: "Mr. Grand Funk Railroad" Mark is an engaging performer and self titled his songs: "Michigan Kick Ass Rock 'n Roll" That's what we get every time...plugged in or unplugged!
I must wholeheartedly agree! This was a rare and wonderful night of acoustic art you can dance too.I had a great time singing along and laughing at Mark's jokes. The dedication to the troops at the end of; "I'm Your Captain/Closer To Home" is something he does at every show and it is genuine every time. It's always purely spiritual when the audience sings along. (I noticed Mark was wearing RED ON FRIDAY to support our troops) Again, God Bless the kids and caregivers at Camp Michitanki. I love the State Theater and hope to return to see Mark and his band "N'rG do Grand Funk tunes with the voice that wrote the tunes in the lead! Please Bay City, suggest Mark at the State Theater so I can drive up and enjoy your beautiful surroundings. Great job everyone! |
