Downtown Bay City has created a new event that's never been done in a Downtown before!
Learn To Do Downtown is Bay City's version of "How do they do that?"
On Saturday, March 12 & Sunday, March 13, 2005, twenty-five downtown Bay City businesses are sharing their talents and creativity by providing over 65 classes on a huge variety of topics such as:
Baby Massage, Can IReally do Yoga?, How to Plan a Spring Luncheon, Rag Rug Making, Ballroom Dancing, The Fine Points of Wine, and Learn About Ale, Beer and other "Brewed" Beverages.
A "curriculum" has been developed with detailed information about each class, day/time options, locations and contact phone number. With over 65 classes scheduled and class size limitations, contacting the participating business to pre-register is strongly recommended.
Most classes are totally free! Some of the classes do have material fees and may need to be prepaid to guarantee there are enough supplies on hand.
Learn To Do Downtown curriculum will be available at the following participating businesses and at downtownbaycity.com. Plus, a direct mailing of over 6,000 postcards will be sent out prior to the event.
A Weathered Gate, Atrium, Bay City Antiques Center, Bay County Historical Society, Bay Antiques Center, The Dancer's Shoppe, The Decorating Palette, Euc. Gallery, The Fabric Fair, Garden of Art, Hen in the Holly, Kingfish Restaurant, Little House, Migun Body Sense, Museum Store, My SecretGarden, MeadowCreek Clothiers, Memory Lane, Pepper Tree Place, Simmons Jewelers, Spirit Yoga, State Theatre, Stein Haus, The Sweet Boutique, Stars & Stripes Forever, Violets Blue, WaterFront Market
