Remember last Winter?
Can you say . . . "Polar Vortex?"
The Winter of 2013 in mid-Michigan was record-setting in terms of both icy cold and near-record snowfall.
Greg Kimbrue remembers.
Kimbrue opened his Vno Wine Warehouse Restaurant and adjacent Bay City Grill & Bar facility on Midland Street on Bay City's West Side on December 7th of 2013 -- "smack dab in the middle" of the worst of the bad weather.
"We we're really frustrated by the weather last Winter," Kimbrue said about his store's opening. "Travel was difficult for everybody most of December and January," Kimbrue went on. "It affected the restaurant's opening," Kimbrue said. "We're going give new customers (and old customers) a reason to celebrate this summer.
Eight months after the initial restaurant opening, Kimbrue is planning a "Grand Re-opening" for August 7th.
"August just feels right."
On August 7th, eight months to the day after the original Vno Wine Warehouse & New Age Restaurant along with the Bay City Grill and Bar opened, Kimbrue is planning a "Grand Re-Opening" in an effort to reach out (again) to local wine and food connoisseurs.
"I think we have the Tri-cities most unique dining, drinking and shopping experience," Kimbrue explained . . . with over 5,600 square feet of space spread out in an open urban, yet historic style and decorum.
The Vno facility features a large wine and beer retail area with over 500 types of wine from all around the world . . . and of course, from the state of Michigan.

"You really have to see our pricing on wine," Kimbrue explained. Kimbrue says his wine pricing meets and mostly beats all of the big chain stores and that special orders are gladly accepted.
