Go see "A Walk in the Woods"! We all laughed so hard! I'm seriously going to see it again. I laughed so much I missed some of the jokes.

The pairing of Nick Nolte and Robert Redford was outstanding. You can see they are enjoying themselves. Originally in 1998 Redford had planned for it to be a vehicle for him and Paul Newman.

It is based on a book by Bill Bryson (Redford). He asks old friends to hike the Appalachian Trail with him and winds up with Katz (Nolte). The conversations between the two are great. The dialogue throughout is very well written.

Other critics were comparing it and the book. There is no guarantee books and movies will be identical. I never read the book but thoroughly enjoyed the movie.

The scenery was beautiful but it's hard to go wrong with the Appalachian Trail.

The supporting cast, Emma Thompson and Mary Steenburgen, did their normally good jobs.

I loved it this time and I will love it when I see it again.

So go. Have fun. Eat popcorn
