Event Hostesses are Faith Egan, Alyssa Drayer and Laren Ewald.. The girls will be on hand Saturday at Christa McAuliff to organize a fundraising walk (Between 10am and Noon) in raise money and gather support for any child diagnosed with cancer.

The event will be annual event held in conjunction with the school's HOSA project. HOSA-Future Health Professionals, formerly known as Health Occupations Students of America (Founded in November of 1976), is a national career and technical student organization endorsed by the U.S. Department of Education.

"We are going to make this an annual thing," the Ewald ladies said about their event. "We're going to walk around the school, supporting anyone battling cancer, or to remember anyone that we've lost to cancer."

There will be a 50/50 raffle and many other raffle items are being gathered from local business as part of the fundraising project.

Other highlights include:
  • bake sale
  • jamberry nails
  • cancer t-shirts
  • tutus for sale

Paige McKee posted on Facebook that Kimmies Hair Bow-Boutique will be there with tutus for sale. "If there are any color combinations that anyone would like us to bring, please let me know," McKee posted. "I also want to say congratulations to Laren on putting this together," McKee added. "This is an amazing cause."

Laren Ewald says that admission is just $1.00. "Please invite as everybody," she said. "All proceeds will be donated to Mott's Children's Hospital."

Stacy Ewald (Mom) says that only 4% of all federal funding for cancer research is earmarked for children's cancer. "This is why all the money raised at the event will be sent directly to Mott Children's Hospital.

Anyone willing to donate baked goods or gifts for the raffle is asked to message me -- Laren Alexis Ewald -- on Facebook. "We need all the help we can get," she said.

"Saturday is right around the corner," said Ewald. "Order forms for t-shirts will be available at the event," Ewald added and reminded everyone to support childhood cancer and wear anything yellow or gold!
