"The Hateful 8" was a very interesting movie. Yes it was written and directed by Quentin Tarantino. Yes it was bloody (I had to shut my eyes at times). But yes it was a very good story.
The acting was exceptional. Of course it was lead by Tarantino's usual stable of actors: Kurt Russell, Samuel L Jackson, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, Bruce Dern, and nine other supporting actors. All of whom have been in at least one other Tarantino film.
I was a bit turned off by the gore and the language but I was so fascinated by the story it was worth watching. Russell is a bounty hunter bringing in a woman prisoner (Jennifer Jason Leigh, who is almost unrecognizable) worth $10,000. His stagecoach comes across another bounty hunter, Jackson, who is bringing in three bodies for $8,000. A blizzard forces them to seek shelter in a cabin called "Minnie's Haberdashery" which is occupied by a group of characters all with their own stories.
