Downtown Bay City expands its annual Fall tradition of Arts in Autumn!!! This event celebrates special arts events and programs that are taking place throughout the entire fall season, highlighting various forms of art and artists. The combination of shopping, dining and entertainment makes Downtown Bay City the place to be!

Downtown Bay City will continue the tradition of highlighting local student artists with the 5th Annual Arts in Autumn weekend, "A Celebration of Student Arts ... in Autumn", September 28, 29 & 30.

The event showcases local students by displaying their artwork throughout downtown. This year's theme is Autumn Along the River. Over 185 nautical themed art panels, provided by local high school students, line the streets of Downtown Bay City.

Downtown restaurants will be provided with colorful placemats for their tables created by intermediate students. Plus, downtown sidewalks will be decorated with chalk art created by local elementary students.

A new Bay City event, Hell's Half Mile Film & Music Festival, is happening September 27 through October 1. This event will add other elements of student art to this very special Arts in Autumn weekend. Local college students have created some of the independent films shown during the festival.

Plus there will be an art show at the Third Street Waterfall Park along with free music on Saturday, September 30 from 11 to 5. Additional information on the festival is available at www.hellshalfmile.com
