Old City Hall To Host Winter Wine & Cheese Event

Downtown Eatery To Provide Wine Variety for Local Connoisseurs

Wednesday is the day

February 7TH is the date.

Old City Hall Restaurant in downtown Bay City is the place.

Tony Jeske, Operations Manager at Old City Hall has just the event to warm his patrons up on a cold winter night in February.

Jeske has contracted with Henry A. Fox Distributing Company out of South Michigan to bring the most popular wines from the Detroit and Grand Rapids area to downtown Bay City for a wine and cheese tasting party.

Tickets are limited to the 1st 60 customers and the event is scheduled from 7-10 P.M. on Wednesday, February 7.

Cost for tickets is $25 and can be purchased at Old City Hall, located at 814 Saginaw Street in downtown Bay City.

Jeske says the public is always looking for wine events like the February event. Jeske says that the popularity of the 10 year-old East Side Wine Walk & the recent West Side Wine Walk are indications that there is a growing need for wine-related events in the community.

"Each year we see more wine drinkers in the restaurant," Jeske said. "It's not unusual for young diners or older couples to order wine with dinner."

Jeske went on to say that he hopes to work next with Studio 23 and organize a Spring wine event in conjunction with a Studio 23 art exhibit.

Spring! Wine! Art! "It's a natural fit," Jeske said.


Cat's Meow Wine will be one of the featured brand names at the Old City Hall Wine & Cheese Tasting party on February 7th in downtown Bay City.
