Calling All Downtown Divas!
With today's women busier and more stressed than ever, Downtown Bay City has created a whole new getaway experience for women of all ages - Downtown Divas.
The four-day event being held May 3-6, 2007 will offer the best of Bay City's art, culture, food, and of course . . . shopping.
Fashion & French Toast happens on Saturday morning, May 5 - a fun and funky summer fashion show along with a "fuel for shopping" breakfast buffet provided by the Atrium.
Divas can purchase the "Diva Delights" package which includes the Fashion & French Toast and well deserved Cocktails in the City reception after all that shopping on Saturday.
The package also includes a special Diva Delights tote bag filled with coupons and gifts from over twenty-five (25) Downtown Merchants.
Talk about being pampered! Divas can also receive massages, manicures and pedicures at Downtown spas; sip tea & tour local Bed & Breakfast's in our historical district; watch "Chick Flicks" at the historic State Theatre and see live performances at the Bay City Players community theatre and Van Buren Street Dinner Theater.
Other activities include: First Thursday Gallery Walk - All About and for Women; mini-seminars - Diva Decadence - "For the Love of Chocolate," "Make Some BLING for Your Evening Thing," and "The Latest in Spring Bling".
According to Candace Bales, Executive Director of the Downtown Bay City Management Board, while Bay City is a favorite shopping and dining destination, the new Downtown Divas event provides an easy, exciting and fun opportunity for women to getaway, relax and enjoy spending time with one another.
Bales said, "It's also a great way for us to introduce women to the wonderful variety of businesses in our historic Downtown shopping district while also showcasing the talented people who make Bay City home."
Bay City's Doubletree Hotel as well as several B&B's in the historic district are offering special rates for the Downtown Divas Weekend.

The Diva Delights Package is just $45.00 and includes the Fashion & French Toast Breakfast Buffet, Cocktails in the City Reception and a Diva Delights tote bag filled with coupons and gifts. The tote bag is available separately for $15.00.
