Bay City's Mid-Michigan Music Store is expanding.
Rick Allen, owner of Mid-Michigan Music stores, has been in business for 23 years. His first location was in Midland which is still the company's main headquarters.

In April 2007, Allen closed the Saginaw store to expand his Bay City location into the building next door. The space was previously rented to Migun Body Sense (who recently moved to 904 Washington.)

The Mid-Michigan Music store in Bay City is located at 917 Washington, in Downtown Bay City. Allen also owns 710 Washington which is currently vacant and available for lease.

According to Bay City's Store Manager, Jeremiah Wolf, "The expansion includes a new showroom which adds 1472 square feet and a acoustic room which has almost tripled in size." Wolf said.

Wolf went on to say, "We also added four new lesson rooms upstairs which include guitar, bass, piano, banjo, violin-fiddle, basically all but drums which is still taught down stairs."

The new rooms help with noise reduction and offers more privacy between lesson rooms. Wolf admits that had been a big problem in the past.

The Mid-Michigan Music Bay City store now has a full professional drum shop, and the guitar and amp selection has been dramatically increased.

Wolf also said that in addition to guitar and drum lessons, Mid Michigan Music will also be teaching, piano, mandolin, banjo, violin, harmonica, and fiddle lessons.

Wolf says that many of the teachers are coming to Bay City from the Saginaw store location which closed recently.

Mid-Michigan Music also makes electronic repairs, has a Pro Audio Department and full American DJ equipment.
