Bay City Players kicks off their celebration of SEASON 90 with a brand new musical comedy by Bay City's own Leeds Bird and Kevin Cole. A Shine on Your Shoes opens their year-long birthday party with performances July 19-22 and July 26-29, 2007. Tickets are expected to disappear, so mark your calendars now!
Leeds is directing his own script set at Harbor College in Harbor Springs, Michigan, with even a side trip to Mackinac Island. The show is loaded with funny people, 17 great songs and 9 dazzling dances. Romance, comedy, song and dance - what else is there!
Kevin is arranging the music of Howard Dietz and Arthur Schwartz, popular composers of the 1930s and 1940s. Their hits include; Dancing in the Dark, That's Entertainment, Something to Remember You By and, of course, the title song. This is great music, made even greater with Kevin at the piano and conducting.
Thursday, Friday and Saturday performances are at 8:00 p.m., and Sunday performances are at 3:00 p.m. Ticket price is $20. The box office will open to the public on Monday, July 16, 2007.
Box office hours are Monday through Saturday from 12 - 2 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m., and Sunday from 2 - 3:30 p.m. The box office may be reached at 989-893-5555 during those hours.
