Winners Set To Play at The Upcoming Mountain Rock Music Festival

Bands battled it out on Saturday afternoon at 3:30 until 7:00 at Castaways.

Many bands have been battling it out in an online voting for the past few months. The bands with the most votes made it to the Mountain Rock battle of the bands to compete for their preferred spot at the Mountain Rock Music Festival being held on July 19-22, 2007 in Farwell, Michigan. It has the largest amphitheater in Michigan. Whatever you might have pictured in your mind will be blown away!

1st Place winner was "Hide from Cleo" from Tawas. (Pictured Above)

2nd Place went to "Edge" from Evart. (Pictured at top of article)

3rd Place was "After the Dust" from Bay City. (Pictured Below)

Battle of the band Judges were (L/R) Elizabeth Brooks, from the Mt. Rock Fest, GT, Bass player from the band, Funkilinium & Nuroksol, Brent Grunow of Frankenmuth from the band Flask, and Sue White from the Saginaw News.

(Pictured Above) The band "THE BLOIDS" were a crowd favorite.

Chances to win tickets to the Mountain Rock Music Festival were won by Shannon Schmidt who received 1st Row VIP tickets and to Paul Schmidt who won 2nd row VIP Tickets.
