Bangor John Glenn's Bobcats defeated the Oscoda Owls, hooting them out of the park by 55-6 count Friday night.

The Bobcats strong defense and lightning quick offense got credit for the win.

The first of two touchdowns scored in the first quarter was made by sophomore tight end Jordan Schuman with 6:42 to play before the second quarter.

Glenn missed the conversion but still took the lead 6-0.

The second touchdown was scored off an incredible interception by junior nose guard, Kyle Reed, who ran about 50 yards into the end zone. Again, the Bobcats missed the two point conversion and took a 12-0 lead going into what proved to be the productive second quarter.

A series of touchdowns was scored by the Bobcats before the second half of the game. Taking credit for the first of five touchdowns was senior running back, Chris Schuman. With no extra point, Glenn added 6 more points onto their score and shortly after junior tight end Ryan Green scored another Bobcat TD.

With 5:36 left before the half Chris Schuman was able to score again. The two point conversion afterwards put two extra points up for the Bobcats making the score now 32-0.

Minutes later, junior running back Matt Balen scored an amazing 64 yard TD and junior kicker Ty Richards launched the extra point through the posts putting the Bobcats up 39-0. Glenn scored once more before the half on a safety made by senior tackles, Zach Rowley and Zach Rivard.

In the second half, the Bobcats continued to discourage Oscoda from gaining any ground and put up two more touchdowns made by Brandon Wiersisinski and Jared Jablonski, respectively. Their TDs finished up scoring for Glenn putting them ahead 55-0.

Oscoda's Brad Neeman scored the Owls only touchdown with 7 seconds left to play in the ball game. Missing the extra point, the Owls put up 6 points and the games final seconds ran to a Bobcat 55-6 victory.

John Glenn will play the Pinconning Spartans next Friday for their Homecoming game.
