Western Warriors jumped all over Midland Friday night taking their first possession 87 yards to the end zone for a 7-0 lead, but that's all they got.

Midland's Colter Roberson was a one man wrecking crew against the Warriors scoring his first of four touchdowns from 2-yards out just before half knotting the score at 7-7.

That's all the momentum the Chemics needed going into the second half. After holding Midland to just 49 yards rushing in the first half, Roberson got untracked in the second finishing with 166 yards on 30 carries.

Turnovers set up the last two Midland scores. Both teams were 4-1 going into the game and had Saginaw Valley League lead in mind going into the game.

The Warriors looked ready to win when Justin Gwizdala punched it in from one yard after the stage was set by a 63 yard pass from Matt Grew to Scott Osentoski.

Then Midland's defense tightened up and the Warriors had to keep it close with their own tough defense. But once they started to bend, they broke and Roberson ran wild.

The Warriors need to regroup real fast because next week they travel to Arthur Hill who have become giant killers, beating unbeaten Flint Southwestern and Mount Pleasant the past two weeks.

The Warriors need to win two of their three remaining games to qualify for the playoffs.###
