"You gotta see these guys," was all that Keith Markstrom had to say.
Markstrom knows music and he knows what's going on around town.
Markstrom told me that Bill Fournier (Stein Haus) had a new group starting at the Stein Haus every Thursday in October from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m.
So, I stopped in to see them on opening night, Thursday, October 4.
The group is Derringer - featuring Daryl Longuski and Larry Rickett, two of the most talented musicians I have heard in a long time. Daryl is self-taught and plays guitar, sax, bongos, drums, harmonica, and is outstanding on the fiddle.
Rickett says the group can play whatever the people want. "We'll play Jimmy Buffet, Country or even Reggae," Rickett said between sets last Thursday. Larry plays lead guitar and has a great vocal range.
Markstrom is right -- These guys rock!
Stop In! Check it out!
