The John Glenn Bobcats came up short against the Nouvel Panthers Friday night.

Though most of the game was evenly matched, the Cats' defense was unable to keep the Panthers from scoring.

The first of the Panthers' 20 points scored during the game was the result of a field goal putting up 3 points for Nouvel with 5:45 in the first quarter. Throughout the rest of the first quarter both teams were unable to gain any yards volleying possession of the ball back and forth until a little over half way through the second quarter.

With 5:52 left before halftime Nouvel scored the game's first touchdown. Including the extra point the score was now 10-0.

Fighting past Glenn's tough defense Nouvel scored again with 2:13 left in the half. The extra point was good and the score stood now at 17-0 going into halftime. In the third quarter both teams continued to struggle against each other's defensive lines.

Our Bobcats, however, were able to reach the Panthers' 5 yard line and attempt a field goal, which made it just outside of the posts. The score remained at 17-0.

In the final quarter Glenn was able to hold Nouvel to a series of fourth downs but were unable to stop one last field goal which would top off the games scoring, 20-0.

But, you can bet that in spite of this week's loss JG will be ready for the game of the season next Friday night against their cross -own rival the Garber Dukes, which will take place at John Glenn.
