The day began with the All Saints Pep Rally to get the throngs of All Saints fans hyped up about the upcoming showdown between the Cougars and the Brown City Green Devils. From decorative spirit walls, to incredible floats, each class proved they wanted the coveted Homecoming spirit jug!

The All Saints class skits never fail to get everyone fired up for the game; everything from hilarious teacher impersonations, to a "Hot Pocket" eating version of The Godfather were included in this years skits. During the pep rally Coach Bisel stated the fact that "It's the support of the fans that gets the emotion up, and that's what wins football games." Echoing this statement, Cougar stadium was filled to the brim with students, fans, and alumni who had gathered to cheer on their school with timeless spirit.

The All Saints Cougars hit the field running and never let up. Scoring two points on a safety in the Green Devils' end-zone on the first possession of the night, not only put the Cougars on offense, but assured the All Saints spectators that the football team wouldn't disappoint them this night. Lashing out with a series of ? drives" the Cougars led by Senior Ben Latocki at QB, rolled right over the Green Devils and racked up a 22-0 lead before the end of the first quarter. By the end of the second quarter the Cougars had scored yet again, and had allowed only one Green Devil score, to end the half with a 28-8 lead.

The lovely ladies of the Queen's court were presented on the field, escorted by their beaming parents, during half time. ASC royalty Queen Ally Marvin was crowned, while her King, Captain Ricky Phillips was presented a medallion from last years King and Queen; Luke Gill and Bridget Klass.

Then the moment came - the awarding of the spirit jug. The Seniors took spirit dress up days; and led by Becca DeWyse, they also won pep rally spirit! Juniors captured the skit award with their hilarious portrayal of Coach Bisel by his grandson Kevin, featuring his dream of a past player and a dance off with the Green Devils. My class, the Sophomores claimed the award for best float; with ASC blue faced witches cooking up some Green Devil stew, and best spirit wall too . The competition was the closest in Cougar history this year. Winning by only one point - the Seniors beat the hopeful Sophomores and were awarded the spirit jug.

Coming out of the half the Cougars clashed with the Green Devils, but failed to break the stalemate of the third quarter. However, in the fourth the Cougars blazed down the field to strike twice more. The Cougars had definitely proved they couldn't be beaten on this glorious Homecoming night. With 73 yards on 12 carries Senior Marc Kwapaszewski was the leader in rushing yards. One of the three Cougar captains, Kwap's only thought was "We played harder than we have this season; we played hard and didn't give up."

A victorious Coach Bisel said after the games epic close "We played a good game, and boy it's good to have the home crowd behind you."

The Cougars will take on Carrolton next week, once again at home. Coach Bisel told his valiant team "We need one more win, and we're going after Carrolton!"
