The Michigan's Got Talent Competition at Stables is taking a week off for Thanksgiving.

But talent competition resumes on November 28th at 8:00 p.m.

The final two weeks of competition might get to look like the stretch run of the Kentucky Derby before it's all over. And if the talent level is any indication, IT'S GOING TO BE A PHOTO FINISH.

"The number of talented performers is growing every week," said (Talent Judge) Kathy Lagalo. It's going to be very difficult to chose only one winner.

Stable Manager John Buehl says that everyone should be aware that Wednesday November 28th is the last day to qualify for the Finals scheduled for December 5th.

Twenty (20) singers got up on stage at Stables last Wednesday night. And if the trend continues, there might be as many as twenty-four on November 28th. Only one week remains (November 28) before the winner-take-all finals on December 5th. Eight finalists have already been chosen. On November 28th, four more will be added.

The 12 will sing on Wednesday December 5th with one singer walking away with a free all-expenses paid trip to Las Vegas.

Already chosen are: Amy Thomas, Karen Powell, John Howley, Jessica Rex, Keagan Cerny, Kate Gembrowski, Janie Thomas and Kathy James.

"On December 5th, we might need protection," said (Talent Judge) Dick Bork about trying to pick one winner out of the current list of competitors. Bork was laughing and making reference to the cage-protection similar to what was used for the band in the movie, Roadhouse.

"That December 5th show is going to be a heck of a show," Bork said.

"One thing for sure," said (Talent Judge) Tommy Anderson, looking over the growing list of competitors. "Michigan certainly does have talent."
