Free Throws again decided the close Tri Valley East rivalry as the Panthers hit 9of 13 at the end to seal their win 51-44.
The final score doesn't reflect the battle the unbeaten conference leader had against the Dukes, (7-3, 5-3) who led after three quarters 37-36.
After missing a couple shots with just under two minutes left in the game and trailing by two the Dukes had to start fouling to get the ball back.
The visiting Panthers were up for the challenge as they continued to make their free throws.
Birch Run (9-2, 8-0) enjoyed their second win over the Dukes as they took the season opener 45-33.
Molly Braun led the Dukes with 14 while Sam Lane and Janelle Urban added 7 and 6 respectively.
The Duke Gals hope to rebound as they travel to Caro Thursday night.
