The Garber boys basketball team is gaining confidence and it showed in their 58-49 win against conference foe Millington Thursday night.

"This is a heck of a win, we lost against them last time by 30, so this is a big turn around for us," said coach Perry Middleton after the game.

Millington cut into the Dukes lead and got it close in the second quarter trailing by just six at half and at the end of the third.

Garber (5-8, 5-4) showed patience and confidence as they notched their fifth Tri-Valley East conference win.

Jake Hebert lead the Dukes with a career high 21 while Brett Eichhorn added 17.

The Dukes must have remembered their stinging 64-35 early season loss at the hands of the Cardinals (9-6, 4-5) as they jumped all over their conference foes 17-5 in the first quarter.

Hebert nailed four three pointers to maintain their lead and seal the win.

Garber will be on the road this week against Vasser and Bridgeport before returning home next week on the 12th hosting league leader Frankenmuth.
