After a full week of games, the Cougars would close the week with multiple games on Friday night. While the Cougar boys teams stayed home to challenge the Red Hawks of Cass City, the Cougar girls would travel to U.S.A. for their own games.

After the Cougar JV team claimed a 68-30 victory, the night was looking up for the Cougars. However, in one of the most decisive periods (ever), all hopes for a Cougar victory almost vanished. A far more physical team, the Red Hawks rolled over the Cougars to establish a 10-4 lead at the end of the first period.

Undaunted, the Cougars realized that they needed to up their game in the second period. After several successful drives, Adam Pijaszek sunk a triple pointer to put the Cougar within striking distance of the Red Hawks. The Cougars resolve to win alone managed to narrow the gap between them and the Hawks down to a 5 point spread at the end of the first half (21-16).

Despite the gap separating the Cougars from the Hawks, the Cougar PomPon squad performed another dazzling routine, this time to the Fallout Boys tune of "Thnks fr th Mmrs". However, even their enthusiasm failed to get the Cougar students to stand up and make themselves heard. It may have had something to due with the fact that many of the Cougars loudest fans were playing in the girls away game at U.S.A.

Regardless of the halftime break, the Cougars would be utterly crushed in the second half of the nights blowout loss. The Cougars biggest problem of the night was turnovers. For each All Saints turnover, two more points were added to the Hawks score; and before long the Cougars were sinking into the hole.

Despite all the Cougars learned lessons, they would only manage to score 41 points out of the night. Coach Mike Showalter said simply "We need to learn from our mistakes, and I hope we have better games ahead."
