Downtown Bay City Annual Sidewalk Days Are July 10-12

Downtown Bay City heats up with the annual tradition of Sidewalk Days. This year's event will sizzle with the addition of the Be Cool Car Show on Saturday, July 12. Visit downtown shops and eateries for specials and sales during Sidewalk Days, Thursday, July 10 through Saturday, July 12. Store hours will be Thursday and Friday 9 a.m. until 8 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. until 5 p.m..

Thursday, July 10, 2003 Bring the kids Downtown to visit LeCroinier's Baby Acres located at the corner of Saginaw Street and Center Avenue from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.. Children will enjoy viewing baby chicks, bunnies, piglets and ducklings, just to mention a few of the animals that will be on-hand.

Thursday, July 10 and Friday, July 11, 2003 Don't miss Joel Tacey, amazingly funny feats of skill and daring....all on stilts, performing from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. throughout Downtown. Join in the fun on the moon walk and velcro jump, featured on the corner of Saginaw Street and Center Avenue from noon to 4 p.m.. Plus, stop by the Bay City Fire Department Fire Truck and Safety Education Display from noon until 3 p.m., also located at the corner of Saginaw Street and Center Avenue.

Saturday, July 12, 2003 Downtown Bay City Sidewalk Days has teamed up for the first time with the Be Cool Car Show to make Saturday an exceptional final day for the event. The Be Cool Car Show will feature over 400 specialty cars, as well as over 125 Corvettes.An exciting addition to the Car Show is the actual 1967 Pontiac GTO driven by actor Vin Diesel in the hit action movie XXX, sponsored by Dunlop Pontiac, Bay City.

There will also be five very special cars provided by General Motors: Tony Stewart's Home Depot Monte Carlo race car, a Monte Carlo pace care and three unique concept cars.All cars participating in the show will be parked on Washington Avenue and Center Avenue in Downtown Bay City for viewing from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. At 7 p.m. there will be a concert in Wenonah Park featuring TheTeen Angels, presented by the Bay Arts Council.
