Art Dore likes to have a good time. A man of his means could go anywhere he would like to have that good time.

Luckily for us Bay Citians he chooses to stay in his hometown and share his good times.

Everyone at the Dore Riverview Complex Thursday evening for the Chamber of Commerce After Hours event seemed to agree.

In showcasing his newly and aptly re-named "complex," Dore impressed the Chamber crowd with his variety of choices now available at the former LumberBarons Brew Pub and Restaurant.

Cassie Sohn, Glennda Stephens, Kim Grant, and Rick Decker show off the choices at the Riverview, wine, martinis, craft brews and beautiful people

"We got here early and had chicken wings in the Stables Martini Bar with a couple of Dopplebocks, then we grilled some Shish-Ka-Bobs in the Sinatra Room and finished with some pizza in Art's Brew Pub," said Jerry Deshano while sipping a Cabernet upstairs in the Geneveive Ballroom.

The new "Riverview," is betting on the fact that their customers will embrace their new intimate cove like rooms and different menu options.

Everywhere you turned there were different groups of Chamber members enjoying their own smaller parties within the bigger party.

"We're trying to offer people more choices and variety, this place is just too big to offer the same thing throughout," said Dore just after the changes were made last month.

The Riverview Complex is now like going to a mall of entertainment. You have more choices that can suit a few friends in the private stalls in the Martini and Cigar Bar or grand celebrations up to 400, upstairs in the ballroom, and other private rooms to accommodate all group sizes in between.

As an example of the variety now available, The Riverview was hosting a welders gathering of about sixty associates in their new "Sage Room," during the After Hours event.

It just seemed like a big party throughout.

Just as Art enjoys hosting Chamber members, he showed his zest for a variety of entertainment choices later that night as one of his other companies was holding "Cage" matches down the street at the Westown.

The demographics were a complete 180 from the Chamber Event but it was hard to determine which revelers were having a better time.

As a matter of fact it just as hard to determine which event Art was enjoying more.

Whether its holding "Cage" matches for fight crazed fans or Chamber members trading business cards, Bay City is more fun because Art Dore is here and he wants to have a good time too.

So next time you're out looking for a first-class time, stop in to the Riverview Complex and see the changes, you'll probably see Art there because he knows where to go to have a good time.

Say hello and thank him for staying in Bay City and keeping his brand of entertainment here.
