To the Cougars, it seemed like only yesterday, as they once again found themselves on that familiar court in Port Hope. After a victory Monday against the Bluestars, the Cougars hoped to repeat that performance again. This time around however, they faced the formidable Caseville Eagles.

Despite the distance they had traveled twice now, the Cougars planned to return once more to Port Hope for the Friday night finals; but to do that they'd have to go through the Eagles. Cougar #50 Ollie Hull was a key weapon in the Cougars arsenal for the night. After capturing possession for the Cougars in the tip-off, Hull quickly put the Cougars on the board with two of his overall 19 points.

The Cougars quickly adapted to the Eagles offense; they crashed against the Cougar defense like water on rock. Only managing to score 6 points on offense, the Eagles defense likewise, also found no mercy from the Cougar's claws. Lashing in 36 decisive points in the first half put the Cougars up with a comfortable lead from the very beginning.

In districts though, rules are different. After establishing a nice lead most teams simply coast to the end, relying on their already proven defense to keep the Eagles at bay. Not the Cougars. Hitting the court to start the second period the Cougars continued to play with all the fire and flames they wielded so expertly in the first. The Cougar offense easily slammed in 20 more points to add to their score, and on the flipside their defense only allowed 7 points to sneak by them to make the score 56-13 at the half.

Things didn't change much for the Cougars in the second half either. The Cougars steeled defense continued to be as unyielding as the Cougar juggernaut offense was on the other side of the court. As the Owen-Gage Bulldogs, and North Huron Warriors got psyched for their game; they watched in awe from the stands, along with the satisfied spectators, as the Cougars plowed forward to conquer both the court and the scoreboard. At the final buzzer, the Cougars achieved a daunting 83-25 win that carried them to the final match of the Districts.

Hull led the Cougars fierce combatants with his 19 points, BJ Weaver (#33) added his 12, along with Cameron Coburn (#14) with 11, and Josh Sutton (#23) followed close behind with 9. After a offensive duel between the Owen-Gage and North Huron, the North Huron Warriors emerged victorious in the forth period. The Cougars will have a day of rest to prepare for the largest offensive clash the districts have yet beheld.
