The First Annual "Man Auction" was held on Thursday March 6, 2008 at Lumberbarons on Bay City's Midland Street. The event was sponsored by the Women's Council of REALTORS (WCR) - Saginaw Valley Chapter . . . and by any standard, this first year event was a very successful fundraiser.

According to Debbie Nation, about 60-70 people attended. "This event was a glorious success," Nation said. "All of the guys that were involved with the live Auction were very good sports and put on a great, fabulous show!"

A portion of the proceeds from the WCR Man Auction will go into the Women's Council of Realtors' Education Fund. "This was our 1st annual Man Auction and we hope to enjoy a 2nd annual next year," Nation added.

Amy Lou Gage of BEST Real Estate, and the WCR Ways & Means Committee Chair for the auction was also pleased with the turnout. "The Man Auction was a HUGE success," Gage said.
