Glamor and style was the story line for the Sempliners Prom Show.

The State Theater Stage has an inspiring force that makes all those who enter it want to perform for the crowd.

Wednesday night was no different as Sempliners Bridal hosted their second Annual Prom Fashion show.

The Crowd was just getting settled when the parade of prom models started.

"After last years event, we kind of expected the guys to add a bit of personality to the show," said Kim Grant from Sempliners.

Mile High from WIOG along with Anne Ignash and Kim Grant from Sempliners ensured the show ran smoothly

The kids took a page out of Dancing With the Stars show by choreographing their own bit of personality as they modeled the latest dresses and tuxes.

Each of the seven schools participating had their own shtick prepared as they paraded on and across the stage.

In order of appearance in the show were Saginaw Valley Lutheran, All Saints, Pinconning, John Glenn, Garber, Western and Central.

Each school had a half dozen or more girls and guys modeling the hottest fashions.

The show started slowly at 7:30 with Nick Cain from Sound Productions spinning some hot tracks and introducing MC "Mile High," from WIOG.

The volume went up and the kids took over in a dizzying array of beautiful prom dresses and tuxedo's.

Those in attendance were treated with prom themed give-a-ways including a tanning package from Tanfastics, an engraveable photo album from Herman & Hiss, tickets to a Loon's game, corsage and boutonnières from Batchke's and many other nice door prizes.

The show reached its crescendo as Central High took the stage last and broke out in a riotous romp to "Suolja Boy," with the whole troupe of models taking part.

I think they got the hang of this.

MyBayCity asked Ms. Grant what she thought of the show? "It was all kind of a blur, the guys end up doing their thing and usually bring down the house, they really let it out," said Grant after the show.

And she couldn't have been more right, the show lasted just forty minutes including the final grand prize winner Brittany Lewis of Midland being announced by Grant for winning a free prom dress and tuxedo rental from Sempliners Bridal.

The show was very entertaining and I'm sure the kids are already talking about next years show.

MyBayCity.com and Sempliners Bridal wishes all those going to prom this year a safe and blissful occasion in 2008.
