IDOL-like Competition at Stables Is Sure To Heat Up During June

Stable Manager John Buehl Says 'Get Ready for June'

A few weeks ago, Joe Atchinson, Jessica Rex, Laure Thomas, Drew Brady & Kevin Sackit earned a spot in the Michigan's Got Talent competition.

In two weeks, another set (4 or 5) of finalists will be added.

Chuck and Debbie Kirkbride, Joe DiPiero, Bridgette Ballor Geno Cummings and Mark Kelley are hoping to join the first group when judges name "gold ticket" winners in two weeks - on Wednesday, June 4th.

"We're still expecting a big turnout for the last 4-6 weeks," said Stables Manager John Buehl. "As soon as school lets out," Buehl said, "We usually get a big rush of singers."

Buehl is referring to a number of competitors from the 2007 edition of the competition that have yet to compete this year.

Karen Powell, Ashley D. January , Kalei Sousa , Tim Draves, Steve Armstrong, Kate Gembrowski, Carl Neveau , Ed Reaume, Jenna Moeggenborg, John Cudworth, Jodie Griffin, Amy Shurlow and Sara Jane have yet to sing this year. Buehl is also hoping that Sarah Schingeck and the group Branded Heart might also make an appearance.

Others that have performed previously but not yet (in this competition) are: Rudy Skillman, Josh Rex, Deanna Cooper, Tarah Bailer, Craig Blanchard, Keagan Cerny, Chris Claude, John Howley, Gwen Kolbiaz, Eric Smith and Emily Thomas.

"It could get very interesting during the next six weeks," said Buehl.

The Four week Finals Week will feature a Rock Week (where finalists must sing a song in the rock and roll category), followed by Country, Mo-Town and then a Free - For All.

You can guaranteed this week will be in full costume!

Winner of that 4 week competition will win a trip to Hooters Hotel in Fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada, AND a chance to perform in the Labadie Pig Gig Concert on August 3, 2008 this summer in Bay City's Veterans' Memorial Park!
